Summary Performs fabrication, welding, and finishing of primarily stair and handrails along with various miscellaneous and light structural steel.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawing details.
  • Finished products per Dunn Fab’s Quality Control Plan.
  • Follow all company policies to and safety regulations.
  • Must have reliable transportation, and able to work overtime if needed to meet production schedules.
  • Must be a team player with attention to detail to ensure efficiency and quality of product.
  • Perform cutting/fitting/welding/grinding, and painting. As well as having general knowledge of, and ability to safely operate standard shop equipment, IE; horizontal band saw, ironworker, Oxy/fuel torch, drill press Etc.
  • MUST have common sense, able to carry out instruction given and problem solve on the fly.

Education and/or Experience

At least Five (5) good years of welding, fabricating, fitting (layout) in a fabrication shop environment.  Experience in miscellaneous steel fabrication is a must.  This includes stairs, handrails, ladders, and embeds.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating plans, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write reports and the ability to speak effectively and tactfully to team members, supervisor, customers, Etc.


Other Qualifications

Must have own hand tools, steel toe boots, able to pass pre-employment drug screen, e-verify.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Welding Certification required, Current driver's license required. Ability to operate Forklift and Lull is a plus.
