Ameri-Force is hiring Ship Fitters in Mobile, AL!

 

Job Description : The Shipfitter will be responsible for assembling and erecting structural steel during various stages of ship hull construction. The shipfitters will also build all interior structures such as hatches, doors, and bulkheads to complete all the steel work in the ship. Will be working new construction on Navy Ships. All work will be in a Shipyard

 

 

 

Applicant Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years recent Ship Fitting experience in a shipyard

Must have at least 2 of those years as an Aluminum Ship Fitter

Must have experience operating a suicide or miller saw

Must be able to read blueprints and do layouts

Must be able to fabricate metal structural parts, components and entire structures

Must be able to layout, burn and prepare plate and pipe for installation

Must be able to tack weld

Must have aluminum ship fitting experience

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must pass a background check

Must have a current resume

Must have a valid state ID, Social Security Card and original Birth Certificate with the raised seal
